Under the lid, the chocolates are the same handcrafted collections Lily O'Brien's Ireland chocolate O'Brien's has made in Newbridge, Co. Kildare since 1992, so personalising the outside does not mean compromising on what is inside. That balance is the point. The recipient gets something that looks made for them and tastes the way the brand has always tasted.

One honest note that applies everywhere. If the recipient asks about ingredients or dietary detail, point them to the published product information rather than answering yourself.

For the major milestones, a fortieth, fiftieth or beyond, the gift is often shared with family, so scale and presentation both matter. A generous collection works as a centrepiece as much as a present, something the wider gathering opens together. A personalised lid marking the number of years gives everyone the reason for the day in a glance.

Choose a full hamper for the scale the milestone deserves, lean on a maker with real provenance, and add a personal message from the team. Marked that way, a chocolate hamper gives a career the send-off it warrants and leaves the whole office something to share on the day.
